What is Gender Pay Reporting

From 6 April 2017 the UK government requested that employers in Great Britain with 250 or more staff publish mean and median figures relating to the gender pay gap within the organisation.

Gender pay is not the same as equal pay, whereby men and women receive equal pay for doing the same or very similar jobs.

A gender pay gap is the difference between the average earnings of male and female employees.

The Gender Pay Report illustrates such figures as percentages and must be published on an organisation’s website and entered onto the UK Governments Gender Pay Reporting Service.

In line with current legislation this report is based on Avtrade’s data as at April 2020.
