Sustainability & Environmental Values

Avtrade is aware that the aviation industry plays a major role in climate change. In recent years, we have taken steps toward a more sustainable operation.

The components that we supply are sourced and reconditioned from existing aircraft. These parts are maintained to the highest quality, ensuring exceptional reliability on wing, thus reducing the need for regular replacement and logistical resource.

In addition:

  • We have invested in solar power and CHP systems.
  • Where possible waste is either recycled or incinerated for biofuel.
  • We provide electric car charging points for employees and visitors.
  • We are moving to a paperless environment.
  • Our HQ features lakes providing a safe habitat for local birds and migrating species.

We constantly assess our carbon footprint and tailor our business practices to reduce our environmental impact. We also endeavour in every way to contribute to the preservation of the landscapes shown in this brochure for future generations.

Gender Equality

What is Gender Pay Reporting?

From 6 April 2017 the UK government requested that employers in Great Britain with 250 or more staff publish mean and median figures relating to the gender pay gap within the organisation.

Gender pay is not the same as equal pay, whereby men and women receive equal pay for doing the same or very similar jobs.

A gender pay gap is the difference between the average earnings of male and female employees.

The Gender Pay Report illustrates such figures as percentages and must be published on an organisation’s website and entered onto the UK Governments Gender Pay Reporting Service.

In line with current legislation this report is based on Avtrade’s data as at April 2020.

MEAN GENDER PAY GAP HOURLY PAY
MEDIAN GENDER PAY GAP HOURLY PAY
PERCENTAGE OF MALES IN PAY QUARTILE ONE
PERCENTAGE OF MALES IN PAY QUARTILE TWO
PERCENTAGE OF MALES IN PAY QUARTILE THREE
PERCENTAGE OF MALES IN PAY QUARTILE FOUR
PERCENTAGE OF FEMALES IN PAY QUARTILE ONE
PERCENTAGE OF FEMALES IN PAY QUARTILE TWO
PERCENTAGE OF FEMALES IN PAY QUARTILE THREE
PERCENTAGE OF FEMALES IN PAY QUARTILE FOUR

Avtrade’s Gender Pay Report

Our people are at the heart of what we do and are vital to the success of Avtrade. We firmly believe in fairness and equality for all employees and desire to continuously challenge unconscious bias.

We remain fully committed to full diversity in all positions within our organisation. We remain unbiased in the recruitment, employment, training and development of all staff; we offer a fully inclusive working environment and listen to our employees’ ideas for improvement.

We do our very best to adopt the tested actions as recommended by the Behavioural Insights Team for the UK Government Equalities Office such as:

  • The inclusion of women and diversity in the recruitment and selection process
  • Using skills based assessment tasks in the recruitment process
  • Structured interviews for recruitment and promotions
  • Encouraging salary negotiations by the visibility of salary grades
  • Leadership development training
  • Performance self assessments

I confirm that the information provided above is accurate.
